Celebrate the Resurrection, March 27, 2016!

Posted on:

resurrection easter greeting cardsDear friends,

The celebrations of Passover and our Lord’s Resurrection are fast approaching!  How do you celebrate it?

Of course we celebrate His risen life all year long, but it is a joy to focus on it in a special way with the entire body of Christ worldwide!  All over the globe we lift our hands high and worship the One Who redeemed us from the grave and gave us new life in Him!  Praise to Jesus, the Christ, our Messiah!

I’ll never forget my first Resurrection Celebration as a believer. I was born again on Maundy Thursday. Celebrating the Resurrection just a few days later was thrilling!

Every year now we sing the hymns – Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Christ Arose, Crown Him with Many Crowns, He Lives, Thine is the Glory, The Day of Resurrection, Rejoice the Lord is King.  We sing with joy, even and especially if we are going through difficult times.

To the left are the images of our Resurrection Collection of 4 cards (to the left). You may purchase them as a Collection or individually. You may also find them on our website – click here.

Enjoy your celebration and wave your banners high!

Great Faithfulness – Our 2 Newest Cards

Posted on:

Dear friends,
I’d like to tell you about our two newest cards, Great Faithfulness and Great Faithfulness cross-stitch. To see enlarged views of these cards, you can scroll to the bottom of the website page after you click here.

Great FaithfulnessThe text on the back of these two cards is from the book of Lamentations 3:21-26:
This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning;
Great is Thy faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I have hope in Him.”
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
to those who seek Him.
It is good that he waits silently
for the salvation of the Lord.

The book of Lamentations is a lament attributed to Jeremiah the Prophet of the Lord and written from exile after the fall of Jerusalem to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. It is a beautiful poem with raw emotions and reflections of the beautiful city that was destroyed due to its gross, repeated transgressions and rebellion against God.

Lamentations 3:19-20 reads, “Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness. Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me.” In the midst of the prophet’s grief, he then remembers… he recalls the steadfast love of the Lord that never ceases. The passages on the back of these two cards capture together the reflections of the painful past with hope in God.

2,700 years later, in this difficult, uncertain time, evil goes beyond what our minds can fathom. Our hearts faint with news of more and more atrocities, but God is our Anchor. When we shake, He is the Rock beneath our feet; when we fear, He is our Fortress; when “all around our soul gives way,” He gives us the eternal hope of His presence. Great is His faithfulness!

Revelation 21:1-4, the vision of John on the Isle of Patmos, records our hope:
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

Our eyes are on You, Lord Jesus! You are our Hope!

God bless you,
Beth Ann

And He is the brightness of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.”

Colossians 1:15-16 – “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers – all things were created by Him and for Him.

And she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Titus 3:4-7 – But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of our righteous deeds, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit whom He poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Beautiful Word

Posted on:

Dear friends,

This greeting card is called Beautiful Word and is found in the Quietness Collection.  The original artwork for this greeting card was created in an oil painting workshop taught by nationally-known, award-winning impressionist painter, Mark Gingerich.

Beautiful WordOn the first day of the workshop, Mark asked us to arrange our own still life setting. Since I had not worked with oil paints for a long time, I knew I needed subject matter that inspired me. I arranged a still life that included items representing my passions – my Bible of 35 years, flowers, and then study books – items that symbolized the beauty and depth of God’s Word.

I drew the composition onto the canvas, painted major blocks of color with a few details, and then Mark applied the master’s finishing touches. This painting is a collaboration that expresses Mark’s unique giftedness. This is the only Flower Girl Greeting card that is not solely my artwork or photography, but permission was given to share it with you.

Psalm 119:103 – How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 119:140 – Your word is very pure, therefore Your servant loves it.

Psalm 138:1-3
I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the gods.
I will bow down toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.

God bless you!
Beth Ann
