The idea for this keepsake was birthed during a quiet time in Ephesians, Chapter 1. I recorded all the words that referred to who I am in Christ and found 17 names. I continued to find more names from other epistles. I noted that all the apostles addressed the believers with these names no matter what they were going through or what sin issues needed to be addressed.
The names were beautiful to me, so I began to paint them. As I created and studied them, I realized that the truth
of who I am as His child was changing me. Some days, I would just burst out in praise!
Eventually, I decided to bind the artwork together in a tent format that could be set in a prominent place for reflection. My thought was that if I emphasized one word each month, the life-changing truth would be reinforced.
When I look back over the months of creating this Monthly Reminder, several lessons rise to the top. When we believe who we are in Jesus Christ: We also see how awesome our Lord is; we are changed by the Holy Spirit; and we rely on His life in us and cease from our own striving.
Beloved ones, may “the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation that you may know Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope of His calling and the riches of His inheritance in the saints…”
